Interest on having my own business in future

Since I was a child, I always dreamed of what occupation I would like to have and what type of person I want to be. I remembered my parents words, ‘Dream big, as you would never know who you are going to be and what you would be able to achieve as there are plenty of possibilities and chances in the future.’.

Indeed, I grew up in an environment that encouraged me to explore and attempt new things in my life. I learnt drawing, paint with crayon and watercolour, write in calligraphy, and play piano during my childhood days. I discovered it is good to give it a try, even though I didn’t insist on some of the skills I have learnt before. It is the support from my parents that makes me passionate about finding my own interest.

Personally, I am highly interested in having my own business in the coming future. Thus, this is the reason why I decided to pursue my studies in business administration. I do think of continuing my degree with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) in Banking and Finance after graduating from the diploma program.

I know there’s lots of challenges on starting a business. Hence, I like to read business articles to gain knowledge outside of the lessons that I can’t learn during tutorials and lectures. Furthermore, I consistently seek out the top jobs currently available for development in the next five to ten years. Consequently, I am clear that I need to have enough practical working experience to have the ability to start my own business. I need to acquire skills in and enrich myself to become a knowledgeable person.

On the whole, having a business isn’t just about making money. It's about creating value and building something meaningful that you can be proud of. Embracing and developing your interests is critical to unlocking your potential and achieving success.
